Flourish + Bloom Events came to life from having an admiration of the wedding and event industry and a taste for great design.
As a kid, I ruined the kitchen table with my never endless stream of art projects and different crafts. I was always coming up with something new. I followed that creativity through college with a degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design from the University of Northern Iowa.
The transition to Flourish + Bloom Events (formerly Jill Christine Studio) came from planning my own wedding. Wedding stationery and floral design lights a fire and excitement that I absolutely love to share with my clients and their guests. I believe that if you love what you do, it shows in your hard work. I love to create the start of a beautiful marriage for you and yours.
My husband and I often have Sundays off together. You can find us wrangling our two year old, exploring neighborhood parks, trail hikes, and enjoying local coffee shops.
My husband and I started homemade pizza nights as a date night activity. We grill our pizzas! Our favorite is mascarpone, fig, and prosciutto. Spoiler alert: we don't make our own dough anymore. Trader Joe's pizza dough for the win. It's easy, inexpensive and delish! Click here for the recipe!
My life changed the day AJ was born. I always thought I'd enjoy being a mom but I enjoy it more than I ever imagined. Even though it's the most difficult thing I've ever done, it's also incredibly rewarding for me. However, I still love my work and wouldn't change that for anything.
It brings me so much joy to help with the design and decor of a couple's wedding day. I love all of the details throughout the planning months and the excitement the wedding day brings. I love to serve my clients well and help create a meaningful wedding experience.
It must be a design thing but I love home decor and interior design. My husband and I bought a really ugly foreclosure and took on a full remodel. It was a dream come true for me. We lived through the dust and dirt. It was disgusting but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
